Calibri print control pro
Software for Controlling & Calibration of Printing Devices with PSO Evaluation
Quite some years ago, the German Association Print and Media (Verband Druck und Medien, VDM) introduced the certification according to Process Standard Offset Printing (PSO). basICColor certify is the software to be used to create these certifications. This enables any print company to prepare for standardization, to permanently check it and thereby keep it with the use of one and the same software. Consequently, the security is given at any one time to be within the standard without an official certification. There is one important thing to be kept in mind: control according to ISO 12647-2. It describes the international standard for offset printing. The standard defines the colour values of process colours, the dot gain and the spread tolerances.
The PSO control integrated in Calibri PSO Check is based on basICColor certify. Thus, using Calibri PSO Check it is possible to fast and easily control whether the measured data (and by this the printing device) are within PSO specifications.
For any relevant and queried parameters a graphical evaluation will be generated and displayed. By changing between different views revealing information may be displayed, for instance to which extent the values of the printing machine differ from the required norms.
Another extremely helpful function is the forecast of the densities. This enables to check whether the PSO standard guidelines can still be kept by changing of the final densities.
All the important and necessary data may be output into an extensive pdf report and saved as well.
