29.04.2011: "The basICColor DISCUS was outstanding"

The basICColor DISCUS is quickly gaining attention in the USA. Dry Creek Photo, a recognized go-to site developed by photographers for photographers, explains why. A comparison test using a benchmark Photo Research PR-730 spectralradiometer with a resolution of 1nm and a tolerance of 0.8 DeltaE-2000 (White reference) demonstrated that the basICColor DISCUS was significantly more accurate than any other device - by an improvement factor of 250%. Unfortunately the test did not include a white point reference for the ambient room light. The basICColor DISCUS is calibrated to the D5000 standard. The bottom line? "The basICColor DISCUS is clearly the best colorimeter that we tested".
